Description

The Jitsie hydraulic brake bleeding kit is your all-in-one solution for keeping hydraulic rim brakes running smoothly. The kit is compatible with Jitsie, Magura, Trialtech, and other systems. With precision connectors, clear hoses, and durable syringes, it makes bleeding fast, clean, and reliable – without needing an 8mm spanner.

HOW TO GUIDE

What you need:

  • Jitsie hydraulic brake bleeding kit (2 syringes, hoses, connectors)
  • Jitsie or Magura mineral oil (never DOT fluid!)
  • clean rags + isopropyl alcohol
  • 2mm Allen key (for bleed screws)
  • zip tie or rubber band to hold the lever open

Step-by-step:

1. Prepare

  • mount the bike securely
  • remove the brake pads and insert our bleed block (BI21-BLEED BLOCK DISC BRK)
  • clean the caliper and lever area with alcohol

2. Set up the syringes

  • fill one syringe halfway with mineral oil (no air bubbles)
  • attach the hose and connector to the syringe and purge any air
  • leave the second syringe empty to collect used oil

3. Connect to the brake

  • remove the bleed screw from the caliper — attach the filled syringe
  • remove the bleed screw from the lever — attach the empty syringe

4. Bleed the system

  • gently push oil from caliper → lever while pulling back slightly on the top syringe
  • repeat a few slow pushes and pulls until no air bubbles appear
  • tap the hose and fittings lightly to release trapped air

5. Seal the system

  • hold gentle pressure on the lower syringe while removing the top one
  • replace the lever bleed screw, then remove the lower syringe and screw
  • wipe off any excess oil

6. Final check

  • squeeze the lever several times — it should feel firm and consistent
  • reinstall pads and wipe clean once more
  • dispose of old oil responsibly

Tips:

  • always keep the reservoir ports upright during bleeding
  • use fresh mineral oil only
  • if lever feels spongy afterward, repeat once — usually one air bubble remained
