- install the rim tape, making sure the valve hole is facing the rim valve hole
- mount the tire:
- fit one side of the tire onto the rim
- slightly inflate the inner tube, then place it inside the tire
- mount the second side of the tire onto the rim
- make sure the tire is seated properly on the rim
- install the sprocket:
- apply grease to the threads
- screw the sprocket on by hand until fully tightened
- install the brake disc(s):
- check the indicated rotation direction and mount the disc(s) accordingly
- tighten the disc bolts to 5–8Nm
Basic Assembly
- frame comes pre-assembled with the headset and bottom bracket
- install the bash plate:
- apply grease to the bolts
- do not forget to use the plastic spacers
- install the freewheel on the right crank:
- apply grease and fully tighten by hand
- if using a protector ring: mount it between the freewheel and crank shoulder, facing downward when the crank is positioned forward
- install the cranks:
- apply grease to the bottom bracket axle
- use a soft hammer if needed to seat the cranks deeper onto the axle
- install and securely tighten the crank bolts
- the crank shoulder should sit very close to the bottom bracket shim
- final torque: 45-50Nm
Frame Kit Assembly
- the forks are pre-cut to the correct length
- fit the fork into the frame using the correct headset cups, compression ring, and headset top cap
- install the 5mm headset spacer and mount the stem, then lightly secure it using the stem cap
- do not over tighten the headset
- refer to the headset parts sequence diagram for correct assembly
- install the handlebars:
- tighten the stem cap bolts in an X-pattern
- at the rear end of the frame, make sure the snail cam bolts are tightened
- apply the stickers on the frame
- refer to the stickers fitting guide
Brake Assembly
- cut the brake hoses to the recommended length before installation
- remove the rubber nut cover and slide it along the hose
- loosen and remove the hose nut using an 8mm spanner
- take care to avoid spilling any oil
- cut the hose to the required length
- refer to the brake hose length table
- reinstall the threaded nut, ensuring it is orientated correctly with the threads facing the brake master cylinder
- slide the supplied olive onto the hose and fit the insert
- push the hose back onto the master cylinder port, hold it in place, and tighten the nut firmly to seal the olive
- reinstall the cover and clean up and resideal oil
- install the brake lever assemblies on the handlebar:
- Euro setup – front brake lever on the left, rear brake lever on the right
- UK setup – front brake lever on the right, rear brake lever on the left
- the rear brake calipper must be routed through the left side of the frame’s rear triangle
- install the c-clip cable guides to secure the brake hoses in place
Final Assembly
- install the chain
- the chain is pre-cut to the correct length, so you only need to rivet it using a chain cutter tool
- when installing the chain, always proceed with care as this is a safety-critical step
- install the rear wheel and install the chain
- the chain needs to go in between the rear frame’s triangle on the drive side
- adjust the chain tension using the snail cams
- tighten the wheel axle to secure the rear wheel
- align and tighten the rear brake calipper
- pull the rear brake lever to center the calipper with the disc and tighten the brake calipper bolts
- install the front wheel
- align and secure the front brake calipper(s)
- while holding the rear wheel, apply force to the cranks to fully seat the rear sprocket
- install the handlebar grips
- install the pedals onto the cranks:
- right side pedal has a right handed thread
- left side pedal has a left handed thread
- don’t forget to apply some grease to the pedal and crank threads
Final Steps
- adjust the handlebar position and all controls to your personal preference
- double check all bolts, fasteners and brake connections to make sure everything is tight and works correctly
- you’re done and ready to ride!

VARIAL RACE 2026
With the Varial Race 2026, we didn’t start from scratch — we started from experience. The proven Varial Race frame remains at the core, now enhanced with a new generation of performance components engineered for the future.
A new carbon fork and cockpit redefine stiffness and control at the front end, while the re-engineered crank set system brings new levels of efficiency and precision where it matters most.
Every component has been refined, tested, and tuned to push performance forward — gram by gram, section by section.
This is the all-new Jitsie Varial Race 2026.
Every Gram. Every Component. Every Section.
A new benchmark for stiffness, precision and reactivity.
Tapered Carbon Varial Fork Race
Built around Jitsie’s exclusive tapered headset system (1-1/8”–1.4”), the carbon Race fork offers outstanding steering accuracy and front-end stability. The HS rim brake version works exclusively with the Jitsie HS brake master cylinder clamp kit Race (sold separately) for exact brake positioning and reliable performance in all conditions.
Perfect balance between leverage and comfort.
Flat Stem 20° with Carbon Handlebar 35MM Race
Forged from 6061-T6 aluminium and CNC-finished afterwards, the stem combines high strength with low weight. The 35mm clamp area provides a larger contact surface for a stronger, more secure grip and prevents the handlebar from rotating or slipping under heavy load. The 35mm interface was developed together with the all-new Jitsie 35mm carbon handlebar to deliver a perfectly matched system for stiffness, control, and reliability.
Fitted with titanium bolts on both the stem and handlebar clamp, this Race edition offers maximum durability with minimum weight. The stem also includes a flat stem cap with steel bolt for a solid, integrated finish.
Superior power transfer, low overall weight.
NGage 2-Piece Crankset Race
Our exclusive lightweight and highly rigid crankset solution developed for modern bicycle trials. Built around a strong CRMO axle, a 68mm Race bottom bracket and forged Race cranks, the system delivers superior power transfer while keeping overall weight low.
The crankset uses a 2-piece design with an integrated axle, improving stiffness and is assembled with the Jitsie BSA 68mm Bottom Bracket Race, which features sealed cartridge bearings and lightweight alloy cups for smooth rotation and long-term reliability in demanding trials conditions. The left side of the Race bottom bracket uses an external aluminium cup with bigger than usual bearing, while the drive side features a semi-integrated design with two inline bearings to better distribute pedalling loads and improve durability.
Maximum braking performance for trials.
Rim brake Race
The braking system features a CNC machined aluminium master cylinder that combines low weight with precise control, reinforced by a steel piston bolt for durability. A 14mm piston delivers an optimal power ratio, while the axial design ensures a smooth, linear transfer of lever input into predictable and powerful braking.
A flip-flop lever allows left or right side mounting, paired with a specially developed Jitsie brake hose for consistent fluid flow and sharp response. Built with Magura master cylinders and fitted with Jitsie Race pads, the system comes pre-bled with Magura Royal Blood and is ready to ride.
Lightweight, powerful and competition-proven.
Disc brake Race
The braking system is built around a CNC machined aluminium master cylinder that delivers a lightweight and precise feel, reinforced by a steel piston bolt for added durability. A 10mm piston is engineered to provide the optimal power ratio, while the axial design ensures a smooth, linear transfer of lever input into controlled and predictable braking performance.
A flip-flop lever allows mounting on either side of the handlebar, offering full setup flexibility. The system is paired with a CNC machined aluminium brake caliper, designed for maximum stiffness and efficient power transfer, and fitted with Jitsie Race disc brake pads for strong bite and control. A specially developed Jitsie brake hose ensures consistent fluid flow and sharp response.
Delivered pre-bled with Magura Royal Blood brake fluid, the system is ready to ride straight out of the box.
Added value from day one.
Spare parts
To give riders even more value, each 2026 Varial Race bike comes with a dedicated spare parts package. This kit includes a selection of the most common consumables and service items, ensuring riders have the essential replacements on hand for training and competition — right from day one.
